Amateur Boxing
Amateur Boxing in NSW.
So you want to fight? Well you can't unless you are registered. And in NSW if you are under 14 you cannot legally box. Under 14's can travel to other states and territories to compete, but cannot compete in NSW.
To box in a registered amateur boxing tournament in NSW/Australia you must be:
- registered with Boxing NSW
- registered with the Combat Sports Authority of NSW
It is a huge responsibility for a coach to nominate you for a fight. Do not expect to fight just because you are training. Your coach decides if and when you are ready to fight. Boxing takes 110% commitment and beyond.
If you cannot put your trust and faith in the knowledge and experience of a coach, I don't want to train you.
If you "party" regularly, you are not suitable to train/fight. Stick to partying...I don't want to train you.
If you get hurt, I have to explain to your family/wife/husband/children/relatives how and why you got hurt.
I will not even begin to think of nominating a boxer for a fight if I believe that person is not ready.
